Here Is Everything You Need To Know About Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD

If you’re looking for a high-end 15-inch multimedia laptop, the Zenbook Pro UX550 is a good option. Although it is not the cheapest or best option, it provides good value for money. The design and construction, clickpad, and long battery life. Also, it has punchy speakers, and smooth everyday performance are all highlights, while the spongy keyboard, and permanently active fans. Moreover,  the possibility of coil whining, and performance limitations under sustained loads or while gaming is all drawbacks. The following review expands on all of these points.

The ZenBook Pro is one of the most expensive ZenBook models, with high-end features to match. Dedicated Nvidia GeForce graphics accelerate gameplay in the latest games, complementing the powerful Core i7 Kaby Lake processor. Thanks to its powerful processor and realistic 15.6-inch display from Asus. This is a tough laptop that can handle any task.

Is it safe to take a chance on this premium ZenBook? Would something like the Dell XPS 15 (which costs about the same and has comparable hardware) be a better bet?

Despite the fact that the ZenBook Pro’s promotional copy includes words. They are like “elegant” and “sophisticated,” my first impressions were quite different. “Rugged,” “resilient,” and “beast” are more accurate descriptors.

The circular lid pattern and the unusual power indicators housed on the laptop’s lip. There are just two examples of the stylish little touches, but the UX550VD still appears to be a machine built to withstand daily abuse rather than an elegant device designed to turn heads in Starbucks.

If you want something with more visual appeal. Consider the Dell XPS 15, Huawei MateBook X Pro, or Apple MacBook Pro.

The ZenBook Pro weighs 1.8 kilogrammes, making it a heavy laptop that is best suited for moving from room to room within the home and should only be lugged outside on rare occasions. Once again, Huawei’s ultralight MateBook is the superior option in this category. Asus’ beast, on the other hand, is surprisingly thin, measuring only about 2 centimetres thick at its thickest point.

Everything about this laptop, from the gleaming silver lid to the matte chassis, feels sturdy and well-made, which is ideal if you intend to let children play with it.

Connectivity is excellent, as one would expect from a device of this size, with multiple USB ports (two Type-A and two Type-C, which are faster and reversible), an HDMI port, and a microSD card reader, but no Ethernet port for wired internet access.

Asus keyboards have always provided me with a pleasant and natural touch-typing experience, so the UX550VD is also simple to use.

Despite the fact that the cursor keys are again crammed into a single row, nothing feels crowded. Aside from that, I rarely made mistakes while touch-typing at full speed on the keyboard of the ZenBook Pro. The right-most row of buttons (home, pgup, pgdn, and so on) pushed the enter, backspace, and shift keys inwards, but this unusual setup was fine after a while.

Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD Screen

Another outstanding feature of this Asus laptop is its 15.6-inch LED backlit screen, which is ideal for watching movies or TV shows on the go due to its Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and large size. In both photo and video modes, images appear sharp and detailed. Sharing the screen with others is not a problem, even when sitting in direct sunlight, thanks to the screen’s anti-glare coating and wide viewing angles.
