Air purifiers that may be carried with you
There are many different styles to choose from. To extract particles, basic mechanical models use a fan to force air through a filter. Higher-grade HEPA filters can capture even the tiniest particles including dust, smoke, pollen, and pet dander.
Electronic air purifiers function by generating an electric charge that attracts particles to the metal plates of the machine, which can then be wiped clean. At least $200 will buy you a portable device. Models that purify vast spaces and are well rated will cost up to $700. New filters can cost anywhere from $20 to $200 (some models have washable filters), and you’ll need to account for power because purifiers should be used 24 hours a day, seven days a week, according to experts.
