Read The Best SteelSeries Arctis 5 2019 edition Review

The SteelSeries Arctis 5 2019 edition is a gaming headset that you will honestly want to give a try. The Arctis 5 provides great sound that you fine-tune to your liking. In fact, the design is very comfortable and you can get an impressive mic at a reasonable price. Indeed, the SteelSeries Arctis 5 2019 edition promises extreme comfort, sleek aesthetics, great audio and sensible software. However, the average surround sound and the long, convoluted cables are possibly a turn off. In fact, the SteelSeries Arctis 5 has had few minor upgrades since it saw the light of the day. It continues to be very competitive with the rest of the best gaming headsets available in the present times.

The SteelSeries Arctis 5 is one of the best gaming headsets in terms of raw technology. It sounds gorgeous, and the microphones offer a distinct advantage for competitive players. The SteelSeries Arctis 5 comes at $100. It maintains a sleek design so that you can wear it for hours on end.

What’s even more admirable is that the Arctis 5 promises great sound that you can fine-tune to your liking. However, managing the cables can be a bit of a bother. In fact, the surround sound is average. In spite of all the drawbacks though, Arctis 5 is one of the most amazing gaming headsets that you can get for the price.

The SteelSeries Arctis 5 2019 edition is neither heavy nor overdesigned. It features a sleek black (or white) peripheral with smooth, over-the-ear cups and a very flexible Velcro headband. Indeed you do not need to adjust two rigid, expandable rods in order to get a perfect fit. You just put the headset on, and it fits impeccably.

Although the Arctis 5 is kind of large, it lacks a single extraneous bump or curve. This stylish peripheral would look equally at home in a gaming nook or on a crowded subway. In addition to that, there is a bendable, retractable microphone in the left ear cup. In fact, the Arctis 5 also features a volume wheel and mic-mute button around the back. Thus, everything is easy to find without fumbling around too much.

The only real shortcoming is that the cable management is a mess. A shorter cable without the chat amp would have been perfect. The Arctis 5 connects by means of USB or 3.5mm audio jack. However, in both ways, you have to plug a proprietary jack into an adapter. The USB adapter goes through an amp that governs chat volume. However, it is pointless if you are engaged in a single-player game. Adding to that, the amp is too light to sit properly on a desk. In fact, the extra-long wire is likely to get in the way of everything. The adapter for the 3.5 mm jack is very small and you might lose it easily.

Indeed, the elastic headband conforms to your head at once. In fact, even if it is slightly off, all you have to do is just adjust the Velcro straps. The ear cups feel luxurious and breathable. It will never push down hard even for those of you who wear glasses and have a lot of hair.

An overview of the gaming performance

The system handles an immersive, single-player adventure excellently. In fact, music, voice work and sound effects co-exist in an ideal harmonious relationship with each other. The sound had enough immediacy to be thrilling and enough depth to be fulfilling.
